Giving @ HTS
Scroll down for info about how to give.
As disciples, knowing God, showing God, and sharing God, the way we organise our priorities is of paramount importance. If Jesus is the centre of our life, then all our decisions are directed to Him.
Our morning service contains the following words: “all things come from you [God] and of your own do we give you.” Since the Lord has provided us with so much in material terms, it is both our responsibility and our joy to give back to him. It is an act of gratitude as well as an act of faith in God our provider.
It is the practice in many churches to give 10% of income back to the church and this is a helpful figure to bear in mind. However, it is far more important to give whole-heartedly since “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Cor 9:7)
Making a regular payment is the most helpful way for us as a church, as this enables us to plan for ministry development in the knowledge of a regular income. If you are a UK taxpayer, we benefit (at no extra cost to you) if you sign a Gift Aid declaration which enables us to claim an additional 25% from the Government. You need to make sure that you will have paid enough tax in the Tax Year to cover the amount that the church reclaims on your giving. Please click here if you need a form.
At Holy Trinity church you can give in various ways:
Online: Simply click on the Stewardship button and follow the instructions to make a monthly or one-off donation and (if appropriate) a gift aid declaration
By direct debit: Under the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) you can make regular monthly payments but remain anonymous. Payment is by direct debit to PGS (not the PCC) on the first day of each month. The PCC would receive your payment on the 10th day of each month, and any associated Gift Aid a few days later. Please contact the treasurer, Simon Awdry
By standing order: If you would like to pay from your Bank account by standing order, please contact Mike Harding
By Bank transfer: By payment direct to the PCC’s Bank account: NatWest, Fishponds Bristol Branch; Sort Code: 60 – 08 – 24; Account Number: 01426575; Account Name: Stapleton PCC
By cash or cheque: A plate is available at the back of church (with Gift Aid envelopes if you are a UK taxpayer and wish to use them). Cheques made out to “Stapleton PCC” can be sent to the Treasurer at the Parish Office
By card: You can give in Church contactlessly using your payment card.
