Daniel & Ellelein Kirk (Church Mission Society, Chile)
The Kirk family’s call is to support the Church through church planting, training lay leaders, teaching, preaching and running youth groups.They are based in Valparaíso, the largest port city in Chile.
Mike & Brigit Adams (First Response Radio, Cambodia)
Mike is a radio engineer from Seattle, Brigit the daughter of a former Rector of Stapleton. FRR has since the 2004 tsunami been delivering critical information, via radio, to affected communities in the immediate aftermath of disasters, bringing them life saving information and hope. The goal is to set up a radio station within 72 hours of a disaster.
Uganda Link
As part of a fellowship link (since 1969) between the Diocese of Bristol and the Church of Uganda our Deanery is linked with the Ugandan Dioceses of Ankole, West Ankole and Ruwenzori. The Deanery Link promotes visits to and from Uganda and supports training for ministry in Uganda.
Wild Goose Cafe, Bristol
The award-winning Wild Goose Drop-In Centre (part of Crisis Centre Ministries) provides free hot meals, shower facilities, clothing and toiletries four days a week and an evening meal six nights a week for those in extreme poverty and need. The centre also serves as a hub in signposting to appropriate voluntary and council services for service users.
Lee Abbey, Knowle West
The Lee Abbey community was established at the invitation of the local churches, with whom they continue to work in close partnership. The community house is home to a non-denominational multi-generational community of Christians called to serve in the local area, individually and collectively. Living under one roof, they adopt a rhythm of prayer and shared meals. They worship at a local church and are engaged in many different facets of mission and ministry.
